 J'ai une Epson EPL5800 qui marche normalement sous une slackware 12.0 avec un noyau 2.6.15 smp et kde 3.5.7. Depuis que le problème de montage de la cle usb a été réglé (voir http://forum.trustonme.net/open/post-cat-1-topic-8263-page-2.html), je ne peux plus imprimer et j'obtiens le message ""Printer not connected; will retry in 30 seconds." lorsque j'essaie de lancer la page d'impression sous cups.

J'avais auparavant désinstallé cups et les 3 packages de foomatic : db-engine, db et filter. J'avais aussi retiré gutenberg que j'utilisais pour une autre imprimante Canon Pixma 4300.

La question est très souvent posée sur le net mais les pistes sont rares et assez confuses. Une idée pour qqun qui est patient mais ...;)

J'ai posté par erreur la question sur le forum matériel. Je vais voir commer le supprimer .
